Creating a new home for SAGE in Redwood City was a complicated task from the beginning. Finding a site that could accommodate the hospital’s size and complexity was the first issue, followed by the need for extensive site work to make SAGE’s new home a reality. An existing building was purchased and fully renovated, inside and out, to create the 22,354 square-foot hospital with 15 exam rooms, six surgery tables, two x-ray suites, and two six-table treatment areas, with an additional two-table minor treatment alcove adjacent to the exam rooms.
The hospital also houses wet and dry rehabilitation suites, an MRI, a CT, a two-table dental suite and chemotherapy and I-131 rooms.
