Overview

The doctors and staff at PEC had a very long wish list for their new facility to help them provide a myriad of services, including internal medicine, radiology, emergency medicine, and dermatology. Their original hospital was a mere 6,600 square feet and their brand new building is 15,453 square feet. Despite more than doubling the size, it was still a challenge for us to find ample space for all of their staff, equipment, and patients under one roof.

To create the building PEC wanted and needed, efficiency had to be at the heart of the design. The new hospital has not one but two radiology suites, treatment stations throughout the hospital, ten exam rooms, and plenty of space to house and care for critically ill patients. We gave them a grand, light-filled entrance and brought the design efficiency right through the lobby with a desk that allows the different practices to have their own clearly defined areas.
