Overview

The new Timnath facility is Raintree Animal Hospital’s second location. The owner’s goal was to expand into a new, fast-growing community and focus the design on the experience of every human and animal that comes through their doors.

Separating dogs from cats was an important part of this focus. Cats have their own entrance, waiting room, exam rooms, and treatment area. The hospital also has a sub-treatment area adjacent to the dog exam rooms, where patients receiving care for minor needs and blood draws can be seen in a quieter, less stressful space.

Bringing Colorado’s abundant sunlight into the hospital was also a priority. High ceilings are part of many spaces, including treatment and exterior and interior windows fill the building.

While the practice owner is a general practitioner, his wife is a specialty surgeon, so the design of the surgical spaces within the hospital was done with care to provide state-of-the-art facilities for oncology and other specialty surgical procedures.

The facility also includes boarding for both cats and dogs. The boarding area has its own client entrance. Three separate kennel rooms help to reduce stress and barking. There is also an indoor/outdoor dog playroom with a garage door and a window into the staff break room so staff can enjoy watching dog shenanigans on their down time.
