The Kosasa Family Campus at Ho’opili is the Hawaiian Humane Society’s second location designed to supplement their main campus in Mō’ili’ili and to serve the ‘Ewa communities of O’ahu.
The new 27,000 square-foot campus cares for over 10,000 animal per year in best-practice facilities designed to make the most of Hawaii’s beautiful, natural environment. The campus features dog, cat, and small animal pavilions to house animals in naturally ventilated structures that capture the trade winds and create a low-stress experience for the animals.
Other features of the campus include a full veterinary clinic with a spay/neuter center; classrooms to host educational programs and community events; animal admissions and pet-retention resources; a pet food bank; dedicated spaces for animal enrichment and exercise; and compassionate end-of-life care.
In the later half of 2024, the campus will open a public community dog park further enhancing their services to west O’ahu and making the campus a true destination, which will increase visibility and adoptions.
